The Funny is Miami's leading, and most comprehensive, improv and sketch
education resource. JTF's classes are
professionally designed, fully structured,
syllabus-driven courses taught by JTF's improv
professionals, and all students receive a certificate
of completion for each course! Just The Funny's
Improv Acting Series classes and Sketch Writing class also include end of course student
performances on Just The Funny's Stage!

The Funny's instructors have over 40 years of
collective experience in improv and sketch
comedy. Instructors have been trained by the
industry's leading improv and sketch instructors
including: The Second City, The Groundlings,
Upright Citizen's Brigade, Joe Bill, Mark Sutton, Asaf
Ronen, Michael Delaney, Shaun Landry, Jamey Rosen, Steve Gilbane, Andy
Eninger, and more!

Improv Acting 1 The
course taught me a lot of the fundamentals of
improvisation. It constantly made me think out
of the box and made me realize that there is a
technique to making things up and making them
interesting and worthy of performance on stage.
The best part was the constant opportunity to

Sketch
Writing
7-week course teaches
the skills to writing effective and funny sketches,
from the commercial parody to full length
scenes. Learn the tricks of the trade, from how
to start a sketch, punch lines, and effective
endings. Students will write a minimum of 5
sketches, and then watch them come to life as they are
acted out in class!
